• Choose from lists of hardware

  • Printer, CD-ROM drive

• Save, replace, rename, or overwrite the system files

  • AUTOEXEC.BAT or CONFIG.SYS file in Windows.

• Make a backup copy

  • Many operating system installations require users to make a backup copy while they are installing.

• Confirm that the operating system is the correct version

  • Users may realize that they don’t have the right operating system for your software, so they can’t install it.
